Giving Back: A Journey of Cybersecurity Education at My Schools

Giving back is a heartfelt journey that transforms my past experiences into valuable lessons for the next generation, enriching their lives while filling mine with purpose. It serves as a powerful reminder of my roots, allowing me to uplift others while staying connected to my own journey.

Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Cheeka

On October 19, 2024, I had the privilege of returning to Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Cheeka, where I completed my primary education from 1978 to 1983. Conducting a Cybersecurity Awareness Program for the students and staff was an incredible opportunity to give back to the institution that laid the foundation for my journey. Witnessing the enthusiastic participation from the students reaffirmed the importance of educating young minds about digital safety in an increasingly interconnected world. The support from the dedicated staff made the session impactful and memorable, fostering a spirit of learning and vigilance.

Govt. Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary School, Cheeka

My visit to Govt. Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary School, Cheeka, on October 19, 2024, was another significant chapter in my educational journey. Having completed my high school education here from 1983 to 1987, I was honored to conduct a Cybersecurity Awareness Program for students and faculty. This initiative allowed me to share my knowledge and experiences, emphasizing the critical importance of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape. The eagerness of the students to learn about safeguarding themselves online was truly inspiring, and the collaborative spirit from the staff made this session a fulfilling experience.

Both visits to my alma maters were deeply enriching experiences that reinforced the significance of giving back to the educational institutions that shaped my life. Conducting Cybersecurity Awareness Programs at both schools allowed me to share valuable knowledge with students and staff, highlighting the importance of vigilance in the face of rising cyber threats. The enthusiastic participation from students and the unwavering support from the faculty at both institutions were a testament to the shared commitment to fostering a safer digital environment. I look forward to continuing this initiative, further bridging the gap between education and cybersecurity awareness in our community.
